Thanking those committed to education

Bright red square with white text that reads, "The world is a better place because of you."

The Education Roundtable of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and the Presbyterian Giving Catalog would like to encourage pastors and congregation leaders across the denomination to reach out with words of appreciation and support to the educators in their congregation and community, perhaps on National Teacher Day, Tuesday, May 3.

You can download and print or email one or all of these colorful postcard-sized (7" x 5") words of encouragement to educators you know or, go “Red for Ed” by wearing red on Sunday, May 1. You can also make a gift in honor of educators through the Presbyterian Giving Catalog, perhaps selecting the Educate a Child item or, choosing a different education item.

The Education Roundtable was established to support the Educate a Child, Transform the World initiative. This initiative encourages Presbyterians to improve the quality of public education, and to support teachers and child advocacy ministries. Its work is made possible through your gifts to the Pentecost Offering. The Education Covenant is one tool developed to help your congregation learn how to better support all those engaged in public education.
